Clinical Psychologist, MAPS
Sarah completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology at the University of the Sunshine Coast. She has worked as a psychologist in private practice for the past four years where she loved working with children, adolescents and adults from all backgrounds and walks of life, helping them to overcome various challenges and find a sense of joy and fulfillment. Sarah has also worked within the public health sector for the Child Development Service, as well as the Alcohol, Tobacco, and other Drugs service (ATODS).
Sarah has experience in treating individuals of all ages with a range of psychological difficulties, using evidence-based treatment including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and schema therapy. She has a special interest in working with children with anxiety disorders, as well as individuals with self-esteem and body image issues. Sarah is also passionate about equipping teachers, chaplains and pastors with the knowledge and skills to effectively support young people going through mental health challenges. She engages in speaking events throughout local schools and churches, as well as providing pastoral care supervision to other professionals.
